ACT OF KINDNESS

The following blog was originally posted on Brentwood Christian School, one of PREP’s partner schools in Austin. 

It can be easy in today’s climate to lose sight of all the positivity and kindness that is going on all around us. The truth is, when you turn off the television and log out of social media you will begin to see all of the amazing and wonderful things happening in our community. Today we want to spotlight an act of kindness and the difference some of our students are making in and around the Austin Area.

Premier Education Partners (PREP) is a Christian hosting program for international students who desire to gain a better education in the U.S.. PREP has a long standing partnership with Brentwood Christian School as we both believe in the importance of offering an academically rich, Christ-centered environment for our students. We have a number of wonderful international students that attend BCS and are very active not only academically, but also in fine arts and athletics.

The ceremony will feature ancient Chinese instrument-Guzheng, Student Talent Show and prize raffles.

Step by Step Guide for Students Learning to Drive

With the approval from the students’ parents, host parents and PREP, students will be allowed to learn how to drive and secure a driver license. Their application will be reviewed on case by case basis.

There are many driving schools/online driving courses that you can choose. For sake of convenience, I am using Austin Driving School as an example as they have many locations. Another excellent option especially for families in Cedar Park and Round Rock area is Wilco Driving School. The owner teaches and does the testing, so students can be less intimidated by the actual road test.

You are invited to participate 2017 Chinese New Year Celebration!

Each year Premier Education Partners hosts a 2-week “Winter Camp” for prospective new students from China. This year the camp runs from Sunday January 15th through Saturday January 28th.

It culminates in a “Closing Ceremony” / celebration that coincides with Chinese New Years on Saturday January 28th.

The National Day of the People’s Republic of China

Today’s Chinese word: Guóqìng jié, meaning “The National Day of the People’s Republic of China”

The PRC was founded on October 1, 1949 with a ceremony at Tiananmen Square. The Central People’s Government passed the Resolution on the National Day of the People’s Republic of China on December 2, 1949 and declared that October 1 is the National Day.
